Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description

Gejits Infotech Inc is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst to support the testing, validation, and quality assurance of complex enterprise software applications for our state Client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and executing test plans, creating detailed test cases and test scripts, identifying and tracking defects, and collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring software quality, system reliability, and compliance with established testing standards and procedures. Experience with enterprise applications, transaction processing systems, and gaming applications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive system test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing scenarios.

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software enhancements and defect corrections.

• Conduct comprehensive testing of transaction processing, sales, validation, billing, and inventory management systems.

• Participate in and observe unit and integration testing activities conducted by internal development teams and external vendors.

• Identify, investigate, document, and track software defects through resolution using defect tracking and test management tools.

• Assist in evaluating, selecting, implementing, and integrating test management and defect tracking solutions.

• Analyze system incidents, application anomalies, and production issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

• Prepare and submit software change requests for system enhancements, application improvements, and defect corrections.

• Review requirements specifications, functional and technical design documents, user manuals, and other system documentation to ensure completeness and testability.

• Collaborate with business users, software developers, project managers, and vendors to clarify requirements and validate system functionality.

• Develop and maintain testing schedules, defect reporting processes, issue escalation procedures, and quality assurance documentation.

• Define, monitor, and report quality assurance metrics, including defect counts, test execution results, defect resolution progress, and overall testing status.

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Software Quality Assurance policies, standards, and procedures.

• Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure compliance with established software development and testing methodologies.

• Provide guidance, training, and support to junior QA analysts and project team members.

• Communicate system capabilities, limitations, testing outcomes, and quality concerns to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist business users in understanding software features, enhancements, and application functionality.

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform additional quality assurance and testing activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, systems development, or related business systems activities.

• Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing scenarios.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience performing functional, integration, system, and regression testing.

• Experience with defect tracking, bug reporting, and test management tools.

• Ability to analyze complex application workflows, system requirements, and technical documentation.

• Experience documenting testing activities, defects, system issues, and corrective actions.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.

• Experience collaborating with software developers, business analysts, vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with enterprise applications, transaction processing systems, business software solutions, or gaming applications.

• Knowledge of online transaction processing, sales operations, transaction validation, billing, and inventory management systems.

• Experience with gaming applications or gaming industry software is preferred.

• Experience working with third-party software vendors and vendor-managed enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with test management and issue tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar platforms.

• Experience with test automation concepts, tools, and frameworks.

• Understanding of software configuration management and change control processes.

• Experience developing Software Quality Assurance policies, procedures, and testing standards.

• Ability to create detailed test scripts and audit system reports to verify data accuracy and operational integrity.

• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical enterprise systems.

• Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to business users and management.

• Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior QA analysts.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
