Senior AI Engineer - Remote

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior AI Engineer III with a Major Pharmaceutical Company. This is a 3-month contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote.

This is a hands-on role focused on developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise AI solutions. The engineer will build AI agents, business applications, and automation workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online to improve employee productivity and provide intelligent access to organizational knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy Copilot Studio agents
• Configure and maintain agent knowledge sources
• Create agent integrations with internal business applications
• Develop custom connectors and Power Automate workflows
• Build and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven)
• Develop Dataverse-based solutions
• Configure and enhance SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and lists
• Support deployment of AI solutions to Teams and SharePoint
• Develop Gemini Gems and Gemini-based AI solutions as needed
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements
• Translate business requirements into working solutions
• Participate in testing, documentation, and user support activities
• Follow organizational security, compliance, and governance requirements
• Contribute reusable components, templates, and development standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
• Strong software development background with experience delivering enterprise applications
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of Power Platform development experience
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Microsoft Copilot Studio agents
• Experience integrating applications through APIs, connectors, and enterprise data sources
• Experience developing business applications using Power Apps and Power Automate
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver production solutions
• Expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio, including agent instruction design, prompt engineering, knowledge source configuration, and publishing to Teams and SharePoint
• Experience in Integration Development using REST APIs, web services, custom connectors, and workflow orchestration with Power Automate
• Proficiency in the Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Dataverse, and Power Automate cloud flows
• Knowledge of SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, permissions, and integration with Power Platform
• Software development skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or Python
• Experience with Git, source control, and Agile development methodologies
• Skills in debugging, testing, and production support

Desired skills:

• Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or related certifications
• Experience with Google Gemini or Gemini Enterprise, and Gemini Gems development
• Knowledge of Azure OpenAI and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Familiarity with AI evaluation and testing methodologies
• Advanced prompt engineering for GenAI solutions
• Microsoft Teams app development experience
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environments

Pay range: up to $84.42 per hour
