Chemical Operator

Our client in the Pittsburgh Area is seeking a Chemical Operator Duties

• Operate a variety of chemical process equipment, including:
• Reaction systems - Distillation systems - Extractors - Autoclaves - Reactors - Pumps - Centrifuges - Inspect process equipment for mechanical defects and malfunctions.
• Train operations personnel - Monitor and record Chemical reactions, Gauge readings, Production shifts, Equipment malfunctions - Supervise and coordinate chemical operations and employee activities during assigned shift.
• Draw product samples and perform quality contr ol tests to verify product meets specifications.
• Recommend improvements to Production methods && Equipment performance Requirements:
• High School diploma, Associates or higher preferred - Individual must have excellent mathematical and reading skills.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity is essential.
• Occasional lifting requirement of 50 lbs from the knees and waist.
• Incumbent must have adequate eyesight in order to inspect and describe reactions.
• The ability to wear a respirator while performing certain job functions is essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
