Job Description

Shift: Day shift
Responsibilities
- Complete nutrition screenings and comprehensive nutrition assessments for pediatric patients, including anthropometrics, growth charts, labs, and diet history.
- Develop and document individualized nutrition care plans, interventions, and goals in the electronic medical record.
- Calculate and recommend enteral and parenteral nutrition regimens, and monitor tolerance and adjust as needed.
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families, including therapeutic diets, food allergies, and feeding plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention guidelines, and patient safety standards.
- Monitor patient progress, re-assess at required intervals, and coordinate nutrition-related discharge plans.
Experience Required: 2 years
License Required: CA state License
Certifications Required: BLS
