Urgent opening for Database Administrator | Columbus, OH(Hybrid)

Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator III to design, implement, administer, and support enterprise database environments across on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.

This role will ensure database performance, availability, security, and recoverability while supporting application development teams, resolving complex production issues, and establishing database standards and best practices.

Required Skills

  • 5 years of experience in database performance monitoring and tuning.
  • 5 years of experience implementing database security and compliance controls, including strict role-based access control (RBAC).
  • 5 years of experience providing developer support and conducting code reviews.
  • 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience managing enterprise-level Microsoft SQL Server database environments, including on-premises and Azure-based platforms.
  • Experience implementing database backups, recovery procedures, and HA/DR solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Azure Backup, and Azure RBAC.
  • Experience migrating and integrating databases between on-premises and Azure environments.
  • Experience implementing SSIS packages and ETL workflows.
