Electrical Engineer

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of electrical project scope, schedule, cost estimates, and execution planning during the project development phase.
• Ensure all electrical facilities are designed in accordance with applicable industry codes and corporate standards.
• Manage the execution of electrical design deliverables by third-party engineering firms, ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules.
• Review and approve electrical design deliverables, including drawings, technical reports, and material listings.
• Evaluate vendor materials quotations and recommend selections based on technical merit, price, and delivery.
• Provide technical support to the construction team during the construction phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and support department initiatives as required.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements throughout project development.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to be innovative and manage change.
• Capability to work independently, leading multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills based on technical and business knowledge.
• Effective communication skills for conveying technical issues to diverse audiences.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering system design and commissioning activities.
• Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
• Strong background in 480V and motor controls.
• Proficiency in VFDs, medium voltage switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• In-depth knowledge of power industry standards and practices.
• Professional Engineer designation.
