PC&IS Engineer

We are seeking an experienced PC&IS Engineer with strong experience in Process Control & Instrumentation, electrical engineering, PLC/SCADA systems, panel engineering, and industrial manufacturing environments.

The engineer will be responsible for developing engineering designs and packages related to power and instrumentation installations for industrial plants and supporting projects through design, construction, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs and engineering packages for power and instrumentation installations.
• Define project scope in coordination with customers and engineering teams.
• Coordinate with customers to collect required engineering inputs.
• Coordinate with offshore engineering teams, vendors, and construction teams.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables.
• Participate in customer and construction design review meetings.
• Obtain required customer approvals.
• Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Lead electrical startup activities for process and packaging equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience as an Instrumentation & Controls / PC&IS Design Engineer.
• Experience developing engineering design packages for industrial/process plants.
• Experience with selection and design of control systems and instrumentation.
• Experience preparing:
  • Instrument Datasheets
  • I/O Lists
  • Instrument Lists
  • Loop Drawings
  • Hook-up Drawings
  • Wiring Diagrams
  • Instrument Location Plans
  • Control System Architecture Drawings
  • Instrument/JB Plot Plans
• Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems and industrial control networks.
• Experience with LV electrical distribution systems.
• Experience designing Power Distribution Panels and Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
• Knowledge of NEC requirements for industrial/process plants.
• Experience with UL 508A control panel design.
• Experience with system commissioning and validation is a plus.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.
• Experience with 3D models and understanding/preparation of cable tray layouts.
• Knowledge of field instrumentation installation and panel engineering.
• Strong customer, vendor, construction, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electrical Engineering / related Engineering discipline
