Position Summary

Cortland Plastics International is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep production machinery, support equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Maintain blow-molding and auxiliary equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
  • Perform inspections and scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Work closely with Production and Process Technicians to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience required.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with electrical systems and schematics.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience repairing manufacturing machinery.
  • Blow-molding or plastics manufacturing experience is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to equipment emergencies.
