API Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Irving, TX that is seeking an API Developer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain APIs that enable data access and integration between different systems, ensuring secure data exchange and efficient data flow to address growing AI/ML and Data needs of a Fortune 500 company
• Define structure, functionality, and endpoint of DataAPI's to meet specific business needs
• Write and implement the code for DataAPI's using appropriate programming languages and technologies
• Automate test coverage (90+%) for DataAPI framework for unit, functional and integration tests
• Automate CICD processes and best practices

REQUIREMENTS

• 15+ years of experience in design, development and triaging for large, complex systems; Experience in Java and object-oriented design skills
• 6+ years of microservices development experience
• 5+ years of experience working in Spring Boot
• 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a technology team and ensuring the team's success while being a strong individual contributor
• 3+ years of experience working with streaming technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Experienced using API dev tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Postman, Git, Cucumber
• Hands-on experience in building microservices based application using Spring Boot and REST, JSON
• DevOps understanding - containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD
• Experience with Web API, gRPC and GraphQL architecture
• Experience in streaming technologies like Apache Kafka

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
