Mechanical Engineer

Introduction

This role involves leading or contributing to geometry control solutions as part of a team, including 3D dimensional analysis and datum coordination. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate concepts and detailed designs, apply variation simulation modeling, and support measurement plan execution.

Responsibilities

• Apply rigorous variation simulation modeling to solve design problems

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience
• Experience with 3D variation simulation analyses using software packages like Siemens VA, 3DCS, CETOL
• 5+ years industry/academic experience
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and metrology
• Experience working on design teams throughout product lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of dimensional engineering experience
• 3+ years working on high-volume products
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling
• Experience creating scripts or algorithms for measurement data analysis
• Knowledge of MSA, Gage R&R, and statistical methods
• Experience with statistical software like Minitab, Quantum XL, JMP
