A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3-7+ years of experience to join its growing Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to deepen their labor and employment practice while working alongside highly accomplished partners who are committed to mentorship, professional development, and long-term career growth.
This role offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and exposure to complex employment disputes for a diverse client base ranging from middle-market companies to Fortune 500 organizations. The firm fosters a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture where attorneys are encouraged to develop their skills, build client relationships, and take ownership of their professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will play an active role in all phases of employment litigation and will have the opportunity to manage matters with increasing independence. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
- Managing all phases of written discovery and document production
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing for and participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
- Advising employers on employment-related disputes and risk management issues
- Handling a broad range of labor and employment matters, including:
- Discrimination and harassment claims
- Retaliation and wrongful termination disputes
- Wage and hour litigation
- Restrictive covenant and trade secret matters
- Other complex workplace and employment-related claims
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-7+ years of labor and employment litigation experience
- Experience handling employment matters through all stages of litigation
- Trial and arbitration experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating effectively with team members
- Strong advocacy, analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent organizational and case management abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional excellence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school Required
- Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar Required
