Job Description

Seeking a Procurement Officer with 4 years experience using SAP or similar related financial systems working in Government Procurement.

The Department has a requirement for APS5/6 equivalent Procurement officer.

The task will include (but not limited to):

  • Monitoring and managing procurement activities including providing advice and support for labour hire procurement.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement approval documentation including Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds and enter into Arrangements.
  • Strong knowledge in administering tender documentation through Aus Tender.
  • Corporate document management and filing.
  • Mailbox management.
  • Responsible for managing a range of contracts, maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Monitoring contracts and managing extension or renewal of contracts and contract close-out.
  • Creating and managing supplier contracts and purchase orders within SAP ensuring compliance with finance policy.
  • Maintaining contractor access to time sheeting portal and end of month processing.
  • Manage work in Our Security and ensure timely and accurate records are held in Our Security database.
  • Problem-solving contract-related issues.
  • Administer contracts, outline agreements and purchase orders in SAP.
  • Provide policy advice in relation to compliance with relevant Australian Government legislation, rules and policies relating to contract management and procurement activities.
  • Preparation and ongoing management of Government contracts.
  • Enter, reconcile and maintain invoice and payment records in SAP.
  • Undertake financial administration and reporting.
  • All tasks are to be performed with minimal direction and will require a high level of initiative to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Other duties as required.
Capabilities Skills and Experience
  • Four years' experience working within Government Procurement.
  • Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.
  • Contract management experience, with knowledge of CCS.
  • Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities.
  • Ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products and service categories to inform procurement planning.
  • Assist in the administration of tender evaluation reports for consideration and approval.
  • Ability to assist in the oversight of contracts administration activities and monitoring of contract management plans.
  • Experience using SAP or similar related financial systems.
Contract:

12 Month Contract with 1 x 12 months extension option

NV1 Security Clearance required
