The ideal candidate brings deep mobile application experience, understands both front-end and back-end software development concepts, and can effectively collaborate with engineering teams on highly technical initiatives. This role requires someone who can quickly contribute with minimal ramp-up while balancing multiple stakeholders, teams, and concurrent releases.
Responsibilities
  • Own and prioritize product backlogs for Android mobile application initiatives.
  • Translate business needs and customer requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
  • Partner closely with software engineering teams to deliver mobile application features, enhancements, integrations, and releases.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, platform teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Drive feature delivery across complex software ecosystems involving mobile applications, APIs, integrations, and connected technologies.
  • Communicate technical and business requirements effectively to various audiences.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers while proactively driving resolution.
  • Support release execution and coordination across multiple parallel development streams.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and prioritization efforts while balancing technical and business objectives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of end-user experiences and product functionality.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • 5+ years supporting software products, preferably mobile applications.
  • Experience supporting Android mobile application development.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience working on both front-end and back-end software-focused initiatives.
  • Experience with APIs, SDKs, software integrations, and mobile application ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, release management practices, and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience working closely with software engineering teams.
  • Experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing complex product backlogs.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within healthcare technology, medical devices, digital health, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting connected devices, IoT solutions, wearable technologies, or mobile-to-hardware integrations.
  • Experience with hardware/software integrations.
  • Experience supporting applications distributed through the Google Play Store.
  • Experience supporting sensor integrations or connected technology platforms.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated product development environments.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will:
  • Bring strong technical product ownership experience without requiring a software engineering background.
  • Understand how mobile applications interact with APIs, cloud services, integrations, and connected devices.
  • Be comfortable working across multiple teams and complex organizational structures.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Be curious, user-focused, and capable of identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Quickly earn credibility with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
  • Effectively balance strategic priorities while driving day-to-day execution.
Success in This Role
  • Rapidly assume ownership of an existing Android product backlog with minimal onboarding.
  • Successfully manage features and releases across a complex mobile application ecosystem.
  • Partner effectively with engineering teams on front-end, back-end, and integration-focused initiatives.
  • Drive delivery across multiple concurrent releases and development efforts.
  • Help scale product ownership capacity within a growing mobile development organization.
  • Deliver high-quality mobile experiences that integrate seamlessly with connected technologies.
