This Senior Business Intelligence Developer will play a highly visible role connecting business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and Power BI users. The position is designed for an experienced BI professional who can combine hands-on development with data architecture, performance optimization, governance, and stakeholder leadership.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and reusable analytics solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, IT teams, data engineers, and distributed Power BI teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and optimize enterprise-grade data models that improve reporting consistency, performance, and data quality.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering on ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data platforms, including environments using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Establish and reinforce BI development standards, naming conventions, governance practices, and reusable frameworks.
  • Apply DevOps principles across BI development, including version control, code reviews, environment management, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
  • Improve Power BI performance through effective query optimization, semantic model design, platform tuning, and cost-conscious development.
  • Guide decentralized Power BI teams toward more standardized, maintainable, and scalable development practices.
  • Lead BI projects and provide technical mentorship and best-practice guidance to junior developers.
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, analytics workflows, data quality, and development methodologies.

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead in Enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Modeling?
  • 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence development, analytics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Ideally 8-10 years of senior-level experience involving data modeling, BI architecture, performance tuning, and strategic analytics solutions.
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with Power BI, including sophisticated dashboard and report development.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX and SQL.
  • Experience developing semantic layers, reusable datasets or models, scalable reporting frameworks, and enterprise BI architectures.
  • Experience with dbt Cloud and modern data transformation methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Python for analytics, automation, or data processing.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience with technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, and/or Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize queries, data models, dashboards, and BI platform performance.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience working across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous or evolving business requirements into structured technical solutions.
  • Highly organized and comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring BI developers.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in finance, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate is a plus.
