Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – Contract – London – Hybrid We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to provide infrastructure support while managing Server, Storage and Networking issues across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a Microsoft server environment, delivering 3rd line support, and handling networking tasks. Essential Skills of the Infrastructure Engineer:

Must have strong Windows Server (2016, 2019 or 2022) administration experience.<br />Must have VMware vSphere, ESXi or vCenter management experience<br />Must have relevant Networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)<br />Infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting<br />Backup and recovery technologies<br />PowerShell scripting and automation<br />Key Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:

Deliver 3rd Line infrastructure support across the business.<br />Provision, administer, and support Windows Server environments.<br />Administer VMware infrastructure, including virtual machines and storage capacity management.<br />Monitor infrastructure performance, investigate alerts, and resolve incidents.<br />Apply OS patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and manage antivirus protection.<br />Monitor backups, perform restore testing, and support disaster recovery activities.<br />Manage user access, server certificates, and core infrastructure services.<br />Implement approved infrastructure changes and maintain technical documentation.<br />Develop PowerShell scripts and automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency.<br />The successful Infrastructure Engineer must be able to commute to the London office on a hybrid basis.
