Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer (Go | Kubernetes | API Gateway)

Contract: Day rate negotiable (Inside IR35)
Location: 5 days onsite
Duration: Long-term contract

We're looking for experienced Platform Engineers to join a team building and operating high-performance, cloud-native infrastructure supporting large-scale production environments.

Key Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang) development.

• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS and/or on-prem), Helm and GitOps/ArgoCD.

• Experience with Envoy Proxy and/or Kong API Gateway.

• Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, PKCE, mTLS and modern authentication technologies.

• Experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego.

• Exposure to OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace and/or Splunk.

• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Kafka, networking and distributed systems.

• Experience building scalable, resilient, production-grade platform services.

Nice to Have

• AWS platform experience.

• TypeScript/React.

• Cloudflare or Akamai.

• Bitbucket Pipelines and CI/CD.

• Identity platforms such as ForgeRock or SAML.
