Are you someone who enjoys staying organized, working hands-on, and supporting important scientific work behind the scenes? Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Operations Technician to help manage the flow of samples, materials, and laboratory resources that support critical testing and research activities.
This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in laboratory support, logistics, inventory management, manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse operations, or other detail-focused environments who are looking to build a career in the life sciences industry.
What You'll Do
As a Laboratory Operations Technician, you will play a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations by:
- Receiving, labeling, logging, and storing incoming samples and study materials.
- Tracking inventory, sample locations, usage, expiration dates, and archival activities using electronic systems.
- Coordinating the movement of materials between laboratory departments while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assisting with the return, disposal, and archiving of materials at study completion.
- Monitoring incoming samples for quality concerns and notifying leadership of any discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate records in accordance with laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), CGMP requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
- Assisting with loading, unloading, and proper storage of laboratory materials and supplies.
- Performing routine operational tasks, including calibration support and equipment maintenance activities.
- Supporting specialized laboratory functions based on assignment, including sample preparation, homogenization, culturing activities, dilution preparation, or handling regulated materials.
- Following safety procedures while working with laboratory samples, biohazardous materials, chemicals, or controlled substances.
- Contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous laboratory coursework or familiarity with a laboratory environment.
- Experience in inventory control, operations support, material handling, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or shipping and receiving.
- Strong computer and documentation skills.
- Experience working in regulated or quality-focused environments is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-4:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply. No relocation assistance will be given. 25% travel may be required. This position is NOT remote.
