Job Description

Flowcode

Flowcode builds the infrastructure that turns stores, connected packaging, and retail media into measurable, actionable first-party customer IDs, enabling leading retailers and consumer brands to personalize the shopping experience at scale. As the leading offline-to-online conversion and measurement platform, Flowcode is committed to building direct connections between retailers, brands, and their shoppers. Our products unify shopper experiences and data across the shelf, the store, and the screen, and turn in-store moments into new retail media inventory.

Role

As an Account Executive, Retail & CPG, you will sell Flowcode into the marketing, loyalty, retail media, and in-store experience organizations of leading retailers, along with the consumer brands and print partners that reach shoppers through them. Retail and CPG are the two largest US ad categories, and RCG is Flowcode's largest pod. Nearly every retailer is investing in apps, loyalty, retail media networks, in-store experiences, and connected packaging, and very few can connect a physical interaction back to a known customer and the purchase it drove. Flowcode closes that gap. You will sell programs such as loyalty and app sign-ups at shelf and checkout, personalized circulars and direct mail with 1:1 codes, in-store experiences that a retailer can sell to its advertiser partners as retail media inventory, and connected packaging ahead of the industry move to GS1 2D barcodes. Our retail and consumer customers include Meijer, Petco, Eddie Bauer, Fjällräven, and AB InBev, and we partner with the commercial printers that produce national circular and direct mail programs. This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role: you carry a number and a named list of retailers and brands, a mix of new logos and existing customers to grow, and you are accountable for landing marquee programs and growing them into always-on deployments across banners, channels, and store fleets. The ideal candidate understands how a retailer makes money from its stores and its media network, pitches with a built product rather than a deck, and closes like a seller.

Responsibilities

  • Own a named list of retailers across grocery, mass, drug, convenience, specialty, home improvement, and department stores, plus the CPG brands that sell through them, carrying full accountability for new revenue and expansion against an annual number
  • Break into Tier 1 retail accounts such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, The Home Depot, Walgreens, and Dollar General through outbound prospecting, field events, executive introductions, and the Flowcode install base, keeping every buyer on your named list in contact two to three times a quarter
  • Sell retail programs, not software: walk into meetings with a pre-built Flowcode experience for that retailer (their brand, their loyalty program, a real store moment) and an ROI case, and ask for the order in the meeting
  • Build relationships across the retail buying committee: CMOs, heads of loyalty and CRM, retail media network leaders, in-store experience and store operations, shopper marketing, and digital and data leaders
  • Lead the core RCG use cases: loyalty and app adoption in store, personalized circulars and direct mail, in-store hubs that become sellable retail media inventory, and connected packaging and GS1 2D barcode readiness
  • Bring retailers and CPG brands into the same program, so one retailer deployment opens co-funded campaigns with the brands on its shelves
  • Partner with print and production partners and with retail and shopper marketing agencies so Flowcode is built into the circulars, mailers, and packaging they already produce
  • Work with Flowcode's Studio, Integration Engineering, and Client Success teams to scope and launch each program and connect it to the retailer's CDP, CRM, or loyalty platform, so results show up in the customer's own data
  • Drive a deliberate land-and-expand motion, turning a single banner, region, or category pilot into an enterprise program across banners, channels, and the full store fleet
  • Represent Flowcode where retail and CPG marketers gather, including Groceryshop, NRF, Shoptalk, GS1 Connect, and Cannes Lions
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline reporting for executive review
  • Raise the bar for the broader Go-To-Market team by sharing retail insight, deal strategy, and winning use cases with peers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales into retailers or consumer brands. We're open to a range of backgrounds, including retail media and commerce media sales, loyalty and CRM platforms, in-store and shopper marketing technology, martech or ad tech, and shopper marketing agency client leadership
  • Relationships inside the marketing, loyalty, retail media, or store experience organizations of national or regional retailers
  • Fluency in how retailers make money and spend: retail media network economics, vendor and co-op funding, loyalty program goals, circular and promotional calendars, and how store operations decide what goes on the floor
  • Proven record of consistently exceeding quota on six-figure deals with multi-stakeholder buying committees, procurement, and legal
  • Familiarity with connected packaging, GS1 2D barcode standards, or personalized direct mail is a strong plus
  • A creative, idea-first selling style: comfortable walking into a first meeting with a pre-built Flowcode experience, demoing it live, and editing it in the room when a buyer asks "can it do this?"
  • AI-native working style: prepares accounts with research agents rather than waiting on a dossier, builds their own analysis and pipeline views, and can point to a process they replaced with AI tooling and the result it produced
  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to command a room of senior executives and translate technology into business outcomes
  • Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented approach to client challenges
  • Experience in fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment with changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team, sharing insights and supporting peers to achieve collective goals
  • Proficiency with CRM software and familiarity with sales engagement tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
