Our client seeks a PHP Developer to support and modernize digital solutions. The role will design, develop, test, and maintain applications while helping migrate legacy PHP functionality to Angular and Node.js. You will collaborate with peers, apply secure coding practices, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications across PHP, Angular, and Node.js ecosystems.
• Support modernization by migrating monolithic and legacy PHP features to Angular and Node.js solutions.
• Maintain and enhance legacy PHP applications and resolve production issues.
• Implement secure coding practices, authentication and authorization, input validation, and data protection controls.
• Identify, analyze, and remediate application security vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10 risks.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with enterprise systems.
• Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and practice TDD.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and partner with architecture and engineering peers on technical designs.
• Develop maintainable standards and scalable solutions while meeting project timelines.
• Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering development experience.
• Hands-on experience with PHP 8, Node.js, NPM, Angular 17+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Git, and REST APIs.
• Experience developing Angular applications using Standalone Components, Signals, and modern control flow syntax.
• Strong background maintaining and troubleshooting legacy PHP applications.
• Experience modernizing monolithic applications and migrating from PHP to Angular/Node.js.
• Proven experience with application security and vulnerability remediation, including OWASP Top 10.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, input validation, and data protection.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
• Automated testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with TDD practices.
• Plus: Agile Scrum or Kanban, CI/CD, modernizing CodeIgniter, Mend/CodeQL/SonarQube, penetration testing support, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Azure and AWS, OAuth/OIDC/SAML, jQuery, and deploying to Azure.
