MedTech Subject Matter Expert (Contract) Initial Term: 4week discovery phase, with potential to extend longterm. NO 3RD PARTIES

Overview: Seeking a MedTech SME to guide operating model design, product development strategy, and sourcing decisions across medical devices and life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Advise on MedTech operating models across R&D, engineering, sustainment, and postmarket support.

• Assess current delivery structures and identify improvements in cost, speed, quality, and scalability.

• Define insource/outsource / cosource strategies across software, hardware, systems engineering, and testing.

• Shape futurestate operating models for product lifecycle and sustainment.

• Convert industry trends and client pain points into actionable recommendations.

• Support business cases, roadmaps, proposals, and executive discussions.

Requirements

• 10+ years in MedTech, medical devices, or life sciences engineering.

• Strong knowledge of product development, sustaining engineering, quality, and regulated lifecycles.

• Experience with operating model design or service delivery transformation.

• Solid understanding of regulatory and quality expectations.

• Clear communication with executive and technical audiences.

Preferred

• Global delivery or supplier transformation experience.

• Familiarity with AI, automation, digital engineering, or connected devices.

• Consulting or strategy background.
