Senior Senior Specialist, Application Development - Senior Pyton AI lead

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist, Application Development (Senior Python AI Lead) to provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications aligned with business objectives. This role combines strong Python development expertise with modern application architecture, API integration, AI-enabled solutions, and enterprise data technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, lead technical initiatives, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities Consult with internal business groups to deliver application development services and technical support. Analyze, define, and document business and system requirements, including data flows, workflows, logical processes, interfaces, controls, and outputs. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend effective technical solutions. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Python and modern software development practices. Develop and optimize SQL solutions using Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar databases.

Design and implement API integrations, data models, ETL processes, and workflow automation solutions. Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems and external APIs. Participate in project planning activities, including feasibility analysis, effort estimation, timelines, and solution design. Lead or contribute to the implementation of development standards, best practices, methodologies, and engineering tools. Develop innovative solutions that improve application scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Support production environments by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving application issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and DevOps methodologies. Contribute to AI-enabled analytics, automation, and intelligent reporting initiatives. Utilize GitLab for source control and CI/CD activities. Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues using Splunk or similar monitoring tools. Required Qualifications 10+ years of application development experience. Strong experience developing enterprise applications using modern software engineering practices.

Strong hands-on Python development experience. Strong SQL and database development experience with Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, or equivalent relational databases. Experience designing and integrating REST APIs. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and workflow automation. Hands-on experience with: Python Oracle SQL GitLab REST APIs Splunk App Engine Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Experience contributing to application architecture, technical design, and project planning.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and APIs. Experience supporting production applications and resolving complex technical issues. Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices. Experience with AI-enabled analytics, intelligent automation, or AI-driven reporting platforms. Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
