The impact you'll make
As a SET MRB Engineer, you will represent the SET organization as a member of the cross-functional Material Review Board (MRB) team. You will be responsible for effectively managing supplier-related nonconforming quality issues that affect factory operations.
Through sound technical judgment, clear communication, and a solutions-focused mindset, you will help safeguard product quality, maintain operational continuity, and support on-time customer fulfilment.
What you'll do

• Manage supplier-related nonconforming quality issues affecting factory operations in accordance with the MRB process.
• Participate in daily MRB activities and facilitate reviews with the relevant supplier engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure timely dispositions.
• Initiate immediate containment action plans and provide timely updates to all relevant stakeholders.
• Drive the closure of overdue MRBi records through proactive stakeholder follow-up and timely escalation.
• Facilitate alignment when disagreements arise over disposition ownership or supplier responsibility.
• Monitor MRB aging, overdue actions, closure performance, and process bottlenecks.
• Coordinate investigations, supplier rework or inspections, as needed, while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Identify recurring defect trends and open dispositions and drive corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase MRB efficiency and reduce nonconformances.

Who we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Science, or an equivalent qualification.
At least five years of industry experience in manufacturing engineering/ supplier engineering/operations/quality assurance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of quality management and manufacturing processes.
Experience in manufacturing quality, MRB operations, nonconformance management, supplier quality, or a related environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to use data to influence decisions and stakeholder alignment.
Ability to prioritize multiple issues and drive timely closure in a fast-paced environment and lead effective meetings centered on clearly defined problem statements and measurable outcomes, while resolving conflicts and misalignment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis, 8D methodology, and Lean Six Sigma tools.
Preferred Qualifications

• Semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations in processes such as machining, molding, stamping, PCB assembly, electronics, welding, casting, plating, coatings, or other relevant processes.
• Demonstrated competence in structured, data-driven problem solving.
• Capable of interpreting Engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and material specifications.
