Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate willlead the development, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC and LabVIEW-based control systems while supporting cross-functional engineering teams.
Rate Range: $54/Hour to $57/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Architect, develop, and test robust PLC control programs for new and existing automation equipment using industry best practices.
• Design and maintain LabVIEW-based systems, ensuring reliable performance and alignment with customer requirements.
• Define control system requirements and create detailed functional specifications for complex engineering projects.
• Lead system implementation, commissioning, and validation activities, including troubleshooting software, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions and support project milestones.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while driving continuous improvement in control system development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in PLC programming, controls engineering, and automation system development.
• Hands-on experience with LabVIEW, VeriStand, Python, and .NET, including architecting and developing applications from scratch.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented PLC programming, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical control systems.

Pay Details: $54.00 to $57.00 per hour
