About the Role

The BUSY Group is seeking an exceptional Chief Digital & Technology Officer to shape, accelerate and safeguard our technology, digital and data landscape across Australia. As a key member of our Corporate Leadership Team, you will drive enterprise-wide digital transformation, strengthen cyber security maturity, uplift data capability and ensure our technology ecosystem enables performance, growth and service excellence.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a diverse technology portfolio spanning Information Technology Services, Cyber Security, Data & Analytics and Enterprise Project Delivery-all within a complex, multi entity environment committed to innovation, community impact and continuous improvement.

What You'll Lead

  • Digital transformation - Deliver enterprise-wide change that improves scalability, efficiency and customer/employee experience.
  • Cyber security uplift - Strengthen governance, controls and risk management aligned with ISO27001, Right Fit for Risk (RFFR) and industry best practice.
  • Managed service provider leadership - Drive performance, value and service excellence across MSPs, vendors and strategic partners.
  • Enterprise data strategy - Build modern data lake environments, analytics capability and evidence based decision-making.
  • Technology strategy - Align digital, cyber, infrastructure and data initiatives with organisational priorities and growth.

You'll shape the digital backbone of a purpose driven organisation making a real difference across Australia. You'll lead transformation at scale, influence enterprise strategy, and build future ready capabilities that empower our people, partners and communities. The position involves:

  • Lead, mentor and develop high performing teams across IT Services, Cyber Security, Data & Analytics and Project Delivery.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and customer service.
  • Develop and execute BUSY's technology, digital, cyber security and data strategy.
  • Oversee enterprise wide digital transformation and change adoption.
  • Ensure infrastructure, platforms, applications and support services meet evolving business needs.
  • Establish and continuously improve cyber security governance, controls and incident response.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO27001, RFFR, regulatory obligations and best practice.
  • Manage MSPs, vendors and strategic partners to ensure value, service excellence and contractual compliance.
  • Negotiate technology contracts and commercial arrangements.
  • Drive optimisation of enterprise data platforms and analytics environments.
  • Uphold BUSY Group's commitment to child safety and safeguarding principles.

This role is ideally based at Southport, QLD, however Brisbane or relocation will be considered for an outstanding candidate.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • 10+ years in senior IT leadership across complex, multi site environments.
  • Broad technical understanding across Citrix, networking, security, Microsoft 365/SharePoint Online, Windows Virtual Desktop, databases and analytics tools (Dynamics, PowerBI, SQL, Jet Reports).
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server, Exchange, AD, Azure AD, Group Policy, Intune MDM and modern operating platforms.
  • Proven capability in digital transformation, innovation and strategic technology leadership.
  • Experience managing MSPs and external supplier relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to present business cases and strategic recommendations.
  • Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive change and uplift organisational capability.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Post graduate qualifications highly regarded.
  • Blue Card, National Police Check and open driver's licence.
