Our client, a leading national oil company, is significantly expanding its global LNG portfolio and is seeking a Senior LNG Trader to join our client's team in London. This is a high-impact, permanent role focused on physical LNG trading across worldwide markets, driving portfolio optimisation and providing commercial leadership within an ambitious, growing global commodities business.

Key Focus of the Role

• Lead physical LNG trading activities, originating and executing trades across global markets.
• Optimise our client's LNG portfolio, maximising value across time, geography and counterparties.
• Shape trading strategy and provide commercial leadership within the LNG and broader commodities space.

Experience & Background

• Senior-level LNG or global gas trading experience (circa 10+ years), with a strong track record of P&L delivery.
• Deep exposure to commodities markets, with a strong focus on LNG and related products.
• Experience operating in major trading hubs, with London market familiarity advantageous.

Core Skills

• Commodities expertise: Demonstrated understanding of global commodities dynamics, particularly LNG, including supply-demand fundamentals and pricing drivers.
• LNG trading acumen: Proven capability in structuring, negotiating and executing physical LNG trades and managing associated risk.
• Trader mindset: Sharp commercial judgement, proactive opportunity spotting and disciplined risk management.
• Portfolio optimisation: Ability to analyse positions and contracts to enhance overall portfolio value.
• Global market engagement: Comfortable trading across worldwide markets and building strong counterparty relationships.
