Systems Integration and Test Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Number 15072 Standard Job Description The Combat System Integration and Test/verification organization is looking to grow the bench of radar integration engineers. This role is focused on combat system integration with the SPY-6 radars, includingfacilitating the development and integration of radar-associated Combat System capabilities. Early in a program, the role focuses in on requirements development and systems engineering aspects, laying the foundation for software development where necessary, and laying a framework for test.

During software development, radar integration engineers will need to be aware of schedule alignment between combat system and radar software and participate in discussions on resolving design disconnects between the radar and combat system. During system test, radar integration engineers exercises radar related combat system capabilities including data analysis, defect resolution, and mission data reviews.

Also, though this role does not directly involve radar software development, having a strong knowledge of radar systems or similar knowledge areas (wireless/communication systems) is very beneficial in being able to have detailed technical discussions with the radar community, including Technical Warrant Holders and highly experienced SMEs, during both design development and defect resolution discussions. Responsibilites include:

• Support radar integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate issues, provide technical assessment of defects, and drive issues to resolution
• Support capability planning, design/development, and review meetings with internal leadership and external stakeholders
• Develop, review, and support implementation of necessary updates in the radar/combat system interface
• Provide systems engineering and software development guidance for radar related combat system capabilities
• Develop and review requirements for radar system capabilities and integration

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering or computer engineering with equivalent minimum of 2 years professional experience
• Experience performing systems engineering for capability development to support element integration
• Basic understanding of electromagnetic and wireless transmission/communication principles
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Python for data analysis
• Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Availability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required by the supported program
• Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program

Desired Skills

• Requirements management and use of requirements management and modeling tools (e.g. Jazz, DOORS, Cameo)
• Basic understanding of radar principles, radar systems design and radar frequency propagation
• Experience in software development with radar systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience integrating and/or testing radar or wireless communication systems
• Experience with cross organizational collaboration and facilitating working groups with diverse stakeholders Pay Information
