Senior DevOps Developer / Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior DevOps Developer/Engineer in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot production workloads on AWS, EKS, and Kubernetes
• Execute assigned DevOps, platform-infrastructure, and Technology Lifecycle Management activities
• Assess and remediate application resilience and observability gaps across logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting
• Develop and maintain automation, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and platform integrations using Python, Java, and/or Go
• Execute assigned application onboarding and migration activities to the Application Platform
• Resolve complex cross-functional blockers across application, platform, and infrastructure teams
• Develop and review runbooks, operational playbooks, and technical procedures
• Provide support and knowledge transfer to application teams and support junior engineers on assigned activities
• Follow operational, security, access, and infrastructure standards
• Participate in the defined rotation or shift-based coverage model

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud engineering and production workloads
• Strong experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting containerized workloads on Kubernetes
• Experience with observability, automation, CI/CD pipelines, application migration, and operational troubleshooting
• Familiarity with enterprise operational, security, access, and infrastructure-governance requirements
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or Go
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across application, platform, and infrastructure teams
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
