AI Application Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AI Application Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary

We are looking for an AI Agent Engineer to join a growing team building LLM-powered agents and applications that solve real business problems. This is a hands-on software engineering role for someone who enjoys taking an idea or loosely defined business need and turning it into a working technical solution.

Duties Include

• Design and build LLM/AI agent solutions
• Develop primarily with Python and Node.js
• Build backend integrations and connect agents to business systems and data
• Partner with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify business needs
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ask the right questions, communicate tradeoffs, and help shape solutions when requirements are unclear
• Participate in an Agile development environment with regular demos and releases

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong hands-on software engineering background
• Experience with Python and Node.js
• Experience building LLM, Generative AI, or AI agent solutions
• Experience with LangChain or similar agent frameworks
• Backend/API integration experience
• Strong communication and requirements-gathering skills
• Ability to work directly with nontechnical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions

Nice to Have:

• AWS
• TypeScript/React
• Splunk or CloudWatch
• Experience deploying AI/agent solutions into production environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
