Job description

Join leading high-frequency trading firms across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney. We're seeking high-performing software engineers.

  • World-class compensation packages
  • Relocation and visa sponsorship available
  • Opportunities across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney
Software Engineer (Individual Contributor) - High-Frequency Trading
  • Experience in Big Tech and/or distributed systems is strongly preferred
  • We value T-shaped engineers - individuals who can go deep technically while also understanding and troubleshooting across the stack (including infrastructure, on-prem systems, and bare metal environments - not just application code)
  • This is a role for experienced hires only (not suitable for junior candidates)
  • This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days per week)
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Singapore or Hong Kong
Interview Process
  • The process is intensive and fast-paced, typically involving multiple interview rounds (up to 10) over a short timeframe
  • Please note: the bar is high, and not all candidates will progress
  • Due to volume, detailed feedback may not always be provided
Additional Information
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted

Mode Talent is partnering with leading high-frequency trading firms across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney to hire exceptional software engineers.
We're looking for top-tier individual contributors who thrive in complex, high-performance environments. This role suits engineers who enjoy troubleshooting deeply technical problems and building systems where performance and precision are critical.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong experience as an individual contributor in software engineering
  • Language-agnostic mindset (experience with Python, C++, and/or Golang)
  • Background in high-performance, distributed, or low-latency systems
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and optimise systems
What's on Offer:
  • World-class compensation packages
  • Relocation and visa sponsorship available
  • Opportunities in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney
  • Work alongside leading engineers in the HFT space
