Job Description

Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience developing complex queries and analyzing data directly within Oracle transactional databases.
  • Proficiency in writing Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and relational database views.
  • Experience with database job scheduling, scripting, and automating recurring data extraction processes.
  • Experience in query optimization, SQL troubleshooting, and validating data integrity across normalized database tables.
  • Experience with translating intricate business requirements and workflows into data-driven SQL solutions from scratch.
  • Experience with producing operational reports and developing visualization metrics using tools like Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional users, gather data needs, and explain analytical findings.
Responsibilities
  • Design, write, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries from scratch against large relational databases.
  • Extract, validate, and transform highly normalized transactional data to support operational metrics, research, and grants.
  • Develop and maintain automated database processes, scheduled jobs, and continuous data refresh scripts.
  • Analyze complex business rules to determine and map required relational database table joins and dependencies.
  • Troubleshoot and debug failing SQL scripts, scheduled jobs, and underlying database performance bottlenecks.
  • Document database schemas and maintain structured technical procedures for ongoing operational reporting.
  • Collaborate directly with enterprise business users to gather data requirements and present technical analytical findings.
