Job Description

Embedded Rust Engineer vacancy for our Rotkreuz based client in the Pharma sector.

Your tasks:


  • Develop concepts and participate in feasibility studies to meet technical requirements.

  • Perform and take ownership in software development tasks.

  • Lead work package definition, estimation, and planning, and enhance or document SW unit specifications and designs.

  • Review designs and contribute to the SW architecture, defining quality attributes and staying updated with technology trends.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis of complex issues and provide bug fixes for post-market software releases.

  • Ensure compliance with processes, propose improvements, and stay informed about regulatory and market standards.



Your experience/knowledge:

  • University degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Rust

  • Hands-on experience developing embedded or systems-level software

  • Experience with real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) or a comparable RTOS

  • Experience with hardware communication protocols: CAN bus

  • Practical understanding of real-time constraints: latency, jitter, task scheduling

  • Highly motivated, deadline-focused, with a proactive and thorough way of working

  • Willingness to work in a regulated environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace or industrial safety)

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Fluent in English



Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485 or IVDR (medical device software lifecycle standards)

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Domain Driven Design)

  • Kubernetes, Docker for CI/build environments

  • Experience in agile development environments

  • German language skills
