Machinist (Level 2-4) / North Springfield, VT

A manufacturer of precision liquid metering and dispensing systems used in medical, diagnostic, and industrial applications is growing their team and hiring for a few Machinist roles (Level 2, 3 and 4). They are based in North Springfield, VT and this is an onsite role.
This role supports the company's machine shop by setting up and operating CNC lathes, machining centers, and manual equipment; editing or writing CNC programs; reading blueprints with GD&T and tolerances; inspecting and measuring finished parts; performing basic assembly and machine maintenance; and maintaining a safe, organized work area. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 2-5 years of experience with CNC and manual machining equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and teammates. The position also includes opportunities to train new employees and work on a wide variety of machining assignments.
Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' experience on CNC machinery, manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, drills, and other machinery.
• Print reading, IE: Datums, GDT, tolerancing, and understanding of views.
• Inspection tools and methods.
• Basic machine operation, cycle and inspect.
• Be capable of basic machine set-up and editing.
• Must be flexible and able to handle wide variety of machining tasks.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a small group.
• Ability to read and work from prints incorporating geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Ability to inspect and measure machined parts.
• Mechanical Aptitude and willingness to learn and grow.
• Team player with positive demeanor.

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

• 100% Hands On
• Perform CNC Machining tasks related to the machine trained on.
• Perform all Manual Machining tasks related to the machine trained on.
• Measure and gauge parts.
• Basic Assembly as required.
• Perform machine set-up and basic editing.
• Perform maintenance on machines as required.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Complete any and all tasks assigned by supervisor.
