Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and self-directed Senior Digital Marketing Data Analyst to join the Central Marketing Insights team supporting digital marketing campaigns across Apple Services.
This position will primarily support the Wallet and Payments businesses. The analyst will work with complex marketing datasets, support data-pipeline initiatives, develop and optimize Tableau dashboards, and perform detailed analysis across paid digital marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate combines a strong analytics background with hands-on SQL, Tableau dashboard development, digital media knowledge, data-quality troubleshooting, and effective cross-functional communication. This person must be comfortable navigating multiple data warehouses, understanding table schemas, investigating discrepancies, and operating independently in an ambiguous environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze digital marketing campaign data across multiple channels and stages of the customer funnel.
Support digital marketing data-pipeline initiatives by coordinating with data science, analytics, and other cross-functional teams.
Navigate multiple data warehouses and work with complex datasets, fields, tables, and schemas.
Write, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, validation, and reporting.
Develop new Tableau dashboards and data-visualization products from scratch.
Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing Tableau dashboards.
Create scalable, self-service analytics tools for marketing and business stakeholders.
Analyze full-funnel digital media performance, including awareness, engagement, acquisition, conversion, and subscription metrics.
Monitor and interpret media metrics such as impressions, clicks, click-through rate, CPM, cost per acquisition, and conversion rate.
Perform thorough data validation and quality assurance before publishing reports or dashboards.
Investigate discrepancies across datasets, dashboards, and reporting sources.
Partner with relevant teams to identify and confirm the appropriate source of truth.
Develop clear, accurate, and business-relevant reporting for marketing stakeholders and executive audiences.
Translate complex data findings into understandable insights and recommendations.
Communicate effectively with marketing, analytics, data science, and technical stakeholders.
Independently identify necessary resources, establish working relationships, and resolve analytical challenges.
Maintain a high level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated professional experience in data analytics, marketing analytics, media analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related analytical role.
Strong hands-on SQL experience, including the ability to query large datasets, join multiple tables, understand schemas, and troubleshoot data issues.
Strong hands-on Tableau experience, including building dashboards from scratch and optimizing existing dashboards.
Experience working with data warehouses, relational data structures, tables, fields, and schemas.
Experience performing data validation, reporting QA, reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation.
Understanding of digital marketing and paid-media performance metrics.
Knowledge of upper- and lower-funnel marketing metrics, including impressions, clicks, click-through rate, CPM, cost per acquisition, and conversion rate.
Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate results into clear business insights.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to independently solve data-centric problems.
Ability to work effectively in an environment with ambiguity, changing requirements, and limited direction.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to analytical accuracy.

Previous experience in digital marketing analytics, paid-media analytics, or advertising analytics.
Experience supporting paid social, paid search, display, programmatic, or digital video campaigns.
Experience with Amazon Redshift or Redshift SQL.
Experience using DBeaver or a comparable SQL client.
Experience supporting marketing data pipelines or developing reporting data products.
Experience working with data science, data engineering, media, and marketing teams.
Previous media agency or large consumer-brand analytics experience.
Experience supporting financial services, digital payments, subscription services, or technology products.
Experience developing executive dashboards and self-service analytics solutions.
