Job ID#219171 Pay Rates: $46.00 - $58.00 Job Description: Transforms complex data from various SQL databases, Smartsheet, and Excel into clear visual stories using Power BI and RStudio. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and maintains a positive, collaborative attitude. Ability to build computing systems from a variety of components to provide a business solution. Includes the ability to integrate application components and databases across computing platforms. Key Responsibilities • Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and engineering reports in Power BI and RStudio with access-controlled UI. • Data Integration: Connect, clean, and blend data from manufacturing SQL databases, Smartsheet trackers, and Excel spreadsheets. • Metrics Creation: Collaboratively define, track, and analyze key aerospace KPIs like quality yields, delivery schedules, and project milestones. • Database Querying: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data efficiently from engineering data warehouses and ERP systems. • Process Automation: Streamline manual reporting workflows into scalable, automated data pipelines to support engineering leadership decision-making. Required Qualifications • Analytical Skills: Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. • Data Analysis: Ability to perform advanced data analysis. Ability to assess requirements and select appropriate algorithms. Ability to create descriptive statistics and mathematical models to solve analysis problems. Ability to employ artificial intelligence or knowledge-based approaches. Ability to evaluate the performance of the models. Ability to interpret data analysis results. • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Power BI, RStudio, SQL, Smartsheet, and Excel (including Power Query and DAX). Experience in one of the following languages: C++, Java, or Python. Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical topics and perform engineering analysis. Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Ability to perform advanced data analysis. Ability to assess requirements and select appropriate algorithms. Ability to create descriptive statistics and mathematical models to solve analysis problems. Ability to employ artificial intelligence or knowledge-based approaches. Ability to evaluate the performance of the models. Ability to interpret data analysis results. • Data Modeling: Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and cleaning messy engineering datasets. • Adaptability: Proven ability to pivot quickly when production schedules, safety priorities, or project requirements change. Self-starter with an exceptional focus on delivering quality results in a timely manner while challenging the status quo. • Collaboration: Excellent team player with a positive attitude who can work seamlessly across multi-disciplinary engineering teams. • Problem-Solving: Ability to translate complex technical aerospace requests into simple, user-friendly visual insights. • Communication: Strong communication skills around complex, technical issues, and the ability to effectively present to myriad audiences. Education / Experience: AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
