Plan and work on indirect tax recovery engagements with specific focus on public sector clients (municipalities, universities, colleges, schools, hospitals, charities and government entities) Your role with these clients will be to build and develop relationships with the engagement team and the clients and assist them with indirect tax matters by working within the public sector recovery team to provide comprehensive indirect tax recovery services by uncovering unclaimed refunds and rebates with respect to the GST/HST/QST, provincial retail sales taxes and other indirect taxes, while considering while considering broader advisory issues in the sector.


Senior Tax Analyst

Pay Rate: $100 000-150 000

We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to manage the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, tax estimates, and extensions. This role involves supporting tax audits, conducting tax research, and advising clients on strategic tax matters. The position offers strong growth potential and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex federal and state corporate income tax returns.
  • Conduct research and draft memoranda on federal and state tax issues.
  • Prepare income tax accrual calculations in compliance with ASC 740.
  • Support corporate tax audits and provide strategic guidance to clients.
  • Manage client relationships and oversee tax professionals working on client projects.
  • Ensure high-quality tax service delivery to clients.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of corporate income tax experience.
  • Experience with corporate tax software (Corptax, ONESOURCE, or GoSystem RS preferred).
  • Familiarity with tax research tools (CCH, RIA, BNA).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with client service teams.
