Job Description

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure trades are accurately represented in Trading Systems and provide a high level of support to front office teams globally.
  • Execute specific types of bank trades and take ownership, as directed, for Front office’s input into projects.
  •  Act as a Go-Between for Front office, Middle Office, and back office.
  • Ensuring all trades are accurately input into production systems and all associated risks and P&L are accurate.
  • Running processes on behalf of the rest of Front Office including: Trading T+1, providing additional MarkitWire support, market commentary, provision of trading models, P&L investigations, running the daily vega/delta risks, ad hoc prism to model investigations etc.
  • Executing specific types of bank trades, including: buying bonds for collateral, risk transfer trades, repos for initial margin, reset runs, any interdepartmental swaps, cash trades and the firm’s funding trades (this role is in scope of the Certification Regime). Note that this role does not involve booking client trades or running a trading book.
  • Proactively working to take on additional non-execution related tasks from Marketing and Trading including the adoption of the production of management information, detailed risk analysis and P&L investigations.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc trade and Portfolio modelling.
  • Utilising the knowledge built up by LNTES of the systems, the trades and the business to answer ad hoc queries and provide technical assistance to projects on behalf of Front Office.

Requirements:

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to analyse highly complex financial data and large volumes of information and derive the best possible solution.
  • Strong understanding of Interest Rates products both Cash and Derivatives.
  • Previous experience in Front Office support functions.
  • Strong communication skills and adept at establishing professional credibility at all levels with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders in order to develop the business.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow a sound and rational decision-making process.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and on varying agenda simultaneously flexing priorities when necessary.
  • Strong levels of business understanding and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence to work on their own initiative, challenge the status quo and be innovative in seeking new ways of doing things and developing the business.
  • Demonstrates a flexible approach and is results-driven.Be located in London or willing to relocate
