Job Description

The Senior Project Estimator develops accurate and competitive cost estimates for heat exchangers and related engineered products in support of customer proposals. This role reviews technical requirements, develops material and labor estimates, obtains supplier pricing, and evaluates historical cost data to support timely and informed proposal decisions.

  • Review specifications, drawings, and proposal requirements to determine project scope and estimating needs.
  • Develop cost estimates for labor materials, equipment, subcontracted services, and other applicable project costs.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Proposal Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and other teams, to validate estimate assumptions and requirements.
  • Prepare RFQs and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
  • Analyze historical cost data and identify cost trends, discrepancies, and estimating risks.
  • Maintain estimating documentation, cost data, and estimating tools to support accuracy and consistency.
  • Support proposal development by providing timely cost information, clarification, and estimate revisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of estimating, cost analysis, manufacturing, engineering, proposal support, or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of cost-estimating principles and methodologies in a manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and related documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate labor, material, supplier, and historical cost data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or cost management systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with heat exchangers, pressure vessles, engineered equipment, or similar industrial product preferred.

Compensation: $87,000 - $120,000 annually DOE & Location
