Founding Talent Lead

About the Role

A B2B SaaS startup is seeking its first dedicated talent hire to own recruiting end to end. You will build hiring pipelines across technical and non-technical teams, partnering closely with company leadership as the organization grows.

What You'll Do

• Build candidate pipelines from scratch, focusing initially on engineering roles and expanding to go-to-market and other functions.

• Manage the candidate lifecycle, including outreach, screening, interview coordination, and closing.

• Provide a thoughtful, warm candidate experience throughout the process.

• Partner with company leadership to define role requirements and calibrate candidate expectations.

• Support light people operations, including offer letters and recruiting process improvements.

What We're Looking For

• At least 4 years of technical recruiting experience, including hiring software engineers at a high-growth B2B SaaS startup.

• Experience as an in-house recruiter at an early-stage or scaling startup, ideally as the first or only recruiter.

• A track record of owning end-to-end engineering recruitment, including proactive sourcing of passive candidates and closing.

• Comfort building pipelines without relying on a prominent brand or heavy inbound interest.

• Experience with Ashby or a similar modern applicant tracking system is helpful.

• Consistent role tenure and a warm, thoughtful approach to candidates and stakeholders.

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 to $235,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California.
