Quick overview
Job description
We are Creditspring, a new way of borrowing that focuses on its members and provides them with safe and efficient short-term financial products.
We're a fast-growing FCA-regulated consumer credit company. We have members, not customers and we take a lot of pride in that!
As one of the UK’s only subscription finance company in the market, we truly have a unique value proposition. Our mission is very clear; to improve the financial stability and resilience of our members. We do this through the products we provide, the partnerships we have, and our educational content. We want our members, and everyone in the UK to be able to better manage their finances and steer them away from high-cost, unregulated credit options.
About the role
We’re looking for a QA Analyst to join our Operational Risk team. This role can be based in either our London or Bengaluru office.
Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager, you’ll monitor, measure and analyse our key business processes to reduce risk and improve performance. You’ll run regular quality assurance reviews, make sure our reporting to the Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs) is accurate, and help the team spot and fix issues before they affect our members.
The ideal candidate is curious and detail-focused, comfortable working with data in Excel, and enjoys finding better ways of doing things.
Responsibilities
Deliver the Risk team’s processes against agreed SLAs, and suggest ways to improve our processes, tools or product so we keep members happy and help the business scale.
Carry out regular QA reviews of key business processes in line with the QA schedule, investigating risks and opportunities and reporting clearly on cause, impact and any action needed.
Analyse and QA our credit portfolio to make sure we report accurately to the CRAs, making amendments and escalating discrepancies where needed.
Respond to and resolve disputes raised through the CRAs within the required timeframes.
Support incident management, picking up tasks from your line manager and the Risk Management team.
Take part in cross-functional projects that change or develop key business processes.
Build strong working relationships across the Risk team and the wider business, so issues and opportunities are dealt with quickly and the Risk team is seen as a helpful partner.
Keep up to date with new initiatives and products in the industry.
Cover for your line manager when needed, including attending internal and external meetings on their behalf.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally in financial services.
Intermediate Excel skills.
GCSE Maths and English (or local equivalent qualification).
Excellent written and spoken English.
Desirable
Experience with data manipulation and analysis.
Experience in operational risk, quality assurance or a related role.
Basic SQL.
Personal Attributes:
Curious and analytical, with an eye for patterns and problems and the confidence to suggest solutions.
A clear communicator who listens well, asks questions and explains things simply.
Organised and reliable, consistently meeting deadlines and following through on commitments.
Collaborative and inclusive, building good relationships and valuing different perspectives.
Takes ownership of your work, learns from mistakes and looks for ways to improve.
Adaptable and resilient when priorities change.
Don’t meet all the listed requirements? Research shows that women and people of underrepresented groups often don't apply for jobs unless they're 100% qualified. As an equal opportunities employer, we know that diversity is a key part of our teams' successes - so if your experience doesn’t fit perfectly but this role excites you, we’d love for you to apply. We’re committed to Creditspring being an inclusive environment where employees feel welcomed, valued and listened to; we want you to thrive as your true self.
Please note that the People Team is contactable only via people@creditspring.co. Unsolicited emails to other team members will not be actioned
