Job Description
Join the Fast-Growing Fiber Industry – Build a Career, Not Just a Job
Are you a hands-on problem solver with an interest in technology? Do you enjoy working independently, being outdoors, and helping people? Buck’s Communications is hiring Fiber Optic Installation Technicians to support our growing operations in Brunswick County.
In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and troubleshoot Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services for residential customers—delivering reliable, high-speed internet from the utility right-of-way into the home. You'll represent our team with professionalism and ensure a top-tier customer experience with every visit.
Previous experience is a plus, especially in telecom, satellite, cabling, or electrical trades—but it’s not required. We’ll provide hands-on training for driven, reliable individuals ready to build a long-term career. Many of our best technicians have transitioned from industries such as Spectrum, Dish, DIRECTV, alarm systems, network cabling, HVAC, and electrical work.
What You’ll Do
- Install and service high-speed fiber internet in residential homes
- Educate customers on their new equipment and services
- Troubleshoot service issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and environments
- Operate independently in the field after training
