Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Manager, Financial Systems to own the platforms that run our finance and accounting operations and to lead the team that supports them. You will be the technical authority and product owner for our finance technology stack, which includes NetSuite (ERP), SAP Concur (travel and expense), FloQast (close management), Vertex (indirect tax), and Netwrix Strongpoint (change management and SOX controls), along with the integrations that connect them to the wider business.
This is a leadership role with a strong technical core. You will manage and grow a team of 4 to 8 systems analysts and administrators, set the roadmap for the finance systems landscape, and partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, and Engineering to deliver reliable, well-controlled, and scalable systems. You should be equally comfortable reviewing a SuiteScript deployment, negotiating priorities with the Controller, and coaching an analyst through a difficult stakeholder conversation.
What You Will Do
Leadership and team management
● Lead a team of financial systems administrators; set clear goals, run regular 1:1s, manage performance against established SLAs.
● Establish team operating rhythms: intake and prioritization, sprint or release cadence, close-period support coverage, and documentation standards.
● Influence relationships with implementation partners, managed-service providers, and software vendors, including contract renewals, SLAs, and escalations.
Platform ownership and roadmap
● Serve as technical owner for NetSuite and the surrounding key applications within the finance stack; define and maintain a multi-year roadmap aligned to Finance and company objectives.
● Drive continuous improvement of the record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and expense processes through automation, configuration, and integration.
● Evaluate new modules, tools, and vendors; lead business-case development, selection, and implementation.
● Ensure system architecture, integrations, and data flows are documented, monitored, and resilient.
Technical delivery
● Provide hands-on expertise in NetSuite administration and development: SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk/REST, saved searches, custom records, roles and permissions, and release management.
● Oversee configuration and administration of Concur (expense and invoice policies, audit rules, integrations), FloQast (close checklists, reconciliations, flux), Vertex (tax rules, jurisdiction mapping, NetSuite connector), and Netwrix Strongpoint (change tracking, customization documentation, control monitoring).
● Design and govern integrations between finance systems and adjacent platforms (billing, HRIS, payroll, banking, data warehouse, CRM) using iPaaS and APIs.
● Lead major projects end to end, including requirements, design, build, testing, cutover, hypercare, and change management.
● Set and enforce standards for environment management, testing, code review, and deployment across the stack.
Controls, compliance, and operations
● Own IT general controls for in-scope financial systems: change management, access provisioning and reviews, segregation of duties, and job monitoring; act as the primary technical contact for SOX testing and external audit.
● Use Strongpoint to maintain a complete, current view of NetSuite customizations and to evidence controlled change.
● Ensure high availability and responsive support during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close; manage incident response and root-cause analysis.
● Support Finance through audits, new entity or subsidiary setup, currency and consolidation changes, and acquisition integrations.
Stakeholder partnership
● Act as the trusted technology advisor to Finance, and Tax and FP&A leadership; translate business needs into system solutions and system constraints into business terms.
● Run a governance forum with Finance leadership to prioritize the backlog, communicate roadmap progress, and manage trade-offs.
● Champion user adoption through training, documentation, and clear communication of changes.
What You Bring
Required
● 8+ years in financial or business systems roles, including 3+ years directly managing a team of systems analysts, administrators, or developers.
● Deep, hands-on NetSuite expertise across administration, customization, and development, ideally spanning at least one full implementation or major re-implementation. NetSuite Administrator or SuiteCloud Developer certification strongly preferred.
● Working knowledge of at least two of: SAP Concur, FloQast, Vertex (O Series or Cloud Indirect Tax), and Netwrix Strongpoint, with the ability to become the escalation point on all of them.
● Solid understanding of accounting and finance processes, including general ledger, close, revenue, procure-to-pay, fixed assets, intercompany, multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation, and indirect tax.
● Demonstrated experience owning SOX ITGCs and working with internal and external auditors.
● Experience designing and supporting integrations using APIs and iPaaS platforms (Workato) and reading or writing SQL and scripting languages.
● Track record of leading cross-functional projects from discovery through post-go-live support.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders and to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Preferred
● Experience in a public company or a company preparing for IPO, ideally in ad tech, SaaS, or another high-volume, multi-entity environment.
● Experience with acquisition integration, entity consolidation, or ERP migration.
● Familiarity with adjacent systems such as Salesforce, Workday, billing platforms, treasury tools, and BI/data warehouse environments.
● Background in accounting, finance, or information systems; CPA, CISA, or equivalent is a plus.
● Experience with agile delivery practices and tooling such as Jira or ServiceNow.
How We Measure Success
● Finance systems are stable and well-supported through every close, with clear incident and change metrics.
● A published, agreed roadmap that Finance leadership trusts and that delivers measurable process improvement.
● Clean SOX ITresults with complete, current customization and change documentation.
● An engaged, growing team with clear ownership, documented processes, and low key-person risk.
● Strong, collaborative relationships with Finance, Tax, Audit, and Engineering.

Thanks & Regards
