Job Description
Description:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on company facilities, equipment, and property
- Complete preventative maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment
- Assist with mechanical repairs on heavy equipment, trailers, railcars, and other company assets
- Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, drills, impact tools, and other maintenance equipment
- Perform basic welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication as needed
- Assist with painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers, man lifts, and other equipment as trained
- Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns to management
- Keep shop areas, work sites, and company property clean and organized
- Perform yard maintenance including mowing, weed trimming, snow removal, and debris cleanup as needed
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders
- Assist other departments with labor tasks as business needs require
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies
- Follow instructions from supervisors and be willing to perform a variety of job duties as assigned
- Communicate with managers regarding repair status, equipment issues, and material needs
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
- Always make safety a priority
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous maintenance, construction, mechanical, or general labor experience preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand tools and power tools required
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred but not required
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and safety procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Dependable, motivated, and resourceful
- Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Physically and mentally fit
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Follow all site safety protocols
