Electrician

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrician to join an industrial and commercial electrical installation project in Hampshire on an initial 8-week contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation works safely, efficiently and to a high standard, working as part of an experienced site team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation works across an industrial/commercial project.
• Install, maintain and terminate electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, including SLD and BCD drawings.
• Complete installation works in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with current regulations.
• Work alongside the Electrical Supervisor and wider site team.
• Identify and report any technical or site-based issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow all site health & safety procedures and RAMS.
• Ensure electrical works comply with BS7671 / 18th Edition requirements.

• Relevant Gold CSCS / ECS Card.
• Proven experience working as an Electrician.
• Strong industrial and/or commercial electrical installation experience.
• 18th Edition BS7671.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Good understanding of site health & safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

• ECS qualification/card.
• EUSR / Water Hygiene.
• Thames Water Passport.
• Inspection & Testing experience.
• IPAF.
• Confined Space.
• Previous experience working within the utilities sector.
• Experience with MEICA installation projects.
• Experience working on industrial or water-related electrical installations.
