Job Summary : As a mid-career EGSE Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment and support of EGSE to validate our flight hardware and satellite systems. You will work closely with our Manufacturing, Environmental Test, Assembly & Launch Operations (ATLO), and Electrical Design engineering teams to understand component and satellite design and develop test equipment, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and EGSE on schedule and within budget. This position's internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis Engr. Our team is currently hiring for Levels 2-3.

Position Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design and delivery of EGSE racks and test enclosures, mechanical layout, electrical schematics, harness design, and full drawing packages from requirements through first article build and check-out
  • Coordinate with programs or products on schedules, risks, and budgets for HILS and EGSE designs
  • Coordinate with systems engineering on software architecture / design and fully document applications in MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) Tools
  • Design software to control, monitor, and log the test sets, EGSE, and HILS
  • Help develop and maintain DevSecOps pipelines to analyze, review, test, revision control, monitor, and deploy software applications to hardware
  • Provide hands-on support during test campaigns, and bring-up activities, including on-site support of deployed EGSE and floor operations
  • Take ownership of projects with minimal guidance from supervisors or program managers
  • Other job duties assigned as required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Hands-on experience in EGSE, test systems, or HILs.
  • Proficiency with common electrical test equipment including, DMMs, e-loads, oscilloscopes, and bench power supplies Familiarity with common communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485) and how to support their signal integrity, grounding, and shielding
  • Experience developing and documenting software and firmware in LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Methodical design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience with National Instruments hardware
  • Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD), Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD), and/or Certified TestStand Developer (CTD) Experience with MBSE
  • Experience with satellite environmental test programs per NASA and MIL-STD requirements
  • Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery software applications including GitLab
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization software applications
  • Experience with early life-cycle satellite engineering activities, spacecraft integration and test, and launch operations Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range:

  • Level 2: $95,200 - $140,000
  • Level 3: $113,900 - $167,500 Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
