CABLE TECHNICIAN
Location: Ridgeland, Mississippi (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking Cable Deployment Technicians to support the buildout and expansion of a large-scale data infrastructure campus. This is an opportunity to join a team responsible for installing, deploying, and maintaining the physical network infrastructure that powers mission-critical environments. As a Data Center Technician, you will be a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You will also create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and pass knowledge to junior staff.
Work Schedule
Multiple shift options are available for this role.
Day Shift Options:

• Sunday-Wednesday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Wednesday-Saturday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Night Shift Option:

• Monday-Thursday 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install, route, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Perform patching activities between equipment and within server racks.
• Ensure safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
• Support server rack and network equipment deployments.
• Assist with infrastructure inventory and materials tracking.
• Work alongside deployment teams, field technicians, and project leadership.
• Follow ticketing systems and workflow processes to complete assigned work.
• Maintain accurate documentation and status updates.

Required Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a large industrial or data center environment.
• Ability to pull cable and perform physical work.
• A strong mindset for safety.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, construction drawings, or cable layouts.
• Familiar with safety protocol.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing structured cabling or low-voltage systems.
• Experience working with fiber optic and copper infrastructure.
• Telecommunications or network deployment experience.
• Backgrounds in construction, electrical, industrial, utility, or oil and gas.
• Experience working from scissor lifts, elevated work platforms, or aerial lifts.
• Experience with cable testing and validation.
• Copper termination experience.
• Experience with tech support, hardware support, or as a field technician.
