Data and Analytics Manager, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, AI & Automation
Quick Overview
Job Description
Data and Analytics Manager, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, AI & Automation
A Data and Analytics Manager opportunity has arisen with a well-established UK business that is already making strong progress on its data journey. Could this be the right next step for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and make a genuine impact rather than starting from scratch?
The Role
The Data and Analytics Manager will take ownership of an already-defined data and analytics direction, driving delivery and execution across a broad remit. Day-to-day, this means overseeing BI and visualisation solutions, managing a portfolio of data, AI and automation initiatives, and leading a small team of data professionals. You will work closely with business stakeholders across multiple UK locations to surface insight, improve data literacy, and ensure the organisation continues to extract real value from its data assets. There is also a meaningful AI and automation dimension to this position, including maintaining the roadmap, evaluating new technologies, and establishing appropriate governance and controls.
The Company
This is a well-established business operating across multiple UK sites, with a broad and varied customer base. The organisation has invested meaningfully in its technology and data capability in recent years, and the Data and Analytics Manager will be joining a team with clear direction and genuine appetite for innovation. It is a business where technology is taken seriously at a leadership level and where the right person will have the support, tools and stakeholders needed to deliver results.
What experience does the Data and Analytics Manager need?
- At least five years working in a data analytics or data science environment, including a minimum of two years leading or managing a team, with a solid grounding in data warehousing, data modelling and ETL processes
- Strong hands-on capability across SQL, cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, and data visualisation tooling, with familiarity across unified analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric being a strong advantage
- Practical experience delivering BI solutions, managing data pipelines, and working with AI or automation tools in a business context
- A track record of engaging stakeholders at varying levels of technical understanding, with the ability to translate data insight into clear, actionable outcomes for non-technical audiences
