Job Description –
Responsibilities:
Product Ownership : o Act as a Product Owner (as applicable) to define, prioritize, and manage system features and backlog.
o Ensure alignment between customer expectations and engineering deliverables.
Domain Understanding: o Strong understanding of the automotive domain relevant to the project (e.g., ADAS, Chassis, Restraints, Upfitter, Trailer Tow, TPMS etc).
o Analyze and interpret customer needs and translate them into actionable system requirements.
Subsystem & Feature Analysis: o Understand subsystem features, functionalities, and behavior.
o Ensure proper decomposition of system requirements into subsystem-level requirements.
Interface Management: o Understand and manage interfaces between different features and subsystems.
o Ensure compatibility and integration across systems.
System Engineering Activities: o Develop and maintain system requirements, boundary diagrams, and capability definitions.
o Support system architecture definition and validation.
Tool Proficiency: o Work with MagicDraw (or equivalent MBSE tools, SysMLv2) for system modeling and documentation.
Agile Execution: o Plan, track, and execute work based on Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).
o Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: o Work closely with cross-functional teams (Other subsystems like Body, Lighting, Powertrain, Vehicle Access etc).
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers and internal leadership.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of System Engineering principles
• Experience in automotive domain (preferably ADAS and Chassis systems)
• To be able to derive capabilities, system requirements, interfaces, SysML artifacts
• Hands-on experience with MagicDraw or similar MBSE tools on SysMLv2
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum / SAFe)
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to system integration and validation processes
• Understanding of end-to-end vehicle systems and architecture
