Job description

About Oath

Oath is the strategic giving platform designed to help donors maximize the impact of their contributions by guiding them to the races and causes where their dollars can make the greatest impact. Oath has directed over $150M while protecting donors' data and avoiding the spam and spin of other giving platforms. As the one stop shop for a generation of donors who want to make a difference, Oath is building the future of philanthropy.

The Opportunity

You'll be the day-to-day advisor for some of Oath's highest-dollar donors. Your mission is to turn Oath's research into clear, personal giving plans and make sure every client's money goes where it matters most. In 2028, you'll help clients plan across presidential, Senate, House, and downballot races, and you'll help grow the advising program to meet the biggest cycle in Oath's history. This role combines political analysis with client relationship management. You'll work closely with the Head of Personal Advising and the Data team, with real ownership over your client book.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients: Build each client's giving plan around their goals, budget, and timing
  • Translate research into recommendations: Turn race research, FEC data, and Impact Score rankings into recommendations clients can act on
  • Brief clients: Prepare client briefings, portfolio updates, and end-of-cycle impact reports
  • Track every dollar: Track each client's contributions against their plan and flag gaps before key deadlines
  • Grow the program: Support new client onboarding and help scale the advising program for 2028
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work with Growth and Partnerships on major donor strategy, events, and campaigns tied to major races
  • 3+ years in political finance, donor advising, campaign fundraising, or philanthropic advising
  • Strong knowledge of electoral politics and how races are won, from Senate seats to state legislatures
  • Data-literate: comfortable with spreadsheets, FEC filings, and race ratings
  • Clear, discreet communication with high-net-worth donors
  • Highly organized: can manage many clients and deadlines at once without dropping details
  • Mission-driven: genuine interest in progressive politics and donor engagement
  • Base Salary: $90k-$115k
  • Equity package
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement: 401(k) matching
  • Time Off: Flexible PTO
  • Office: 3 days per week in our NYC headquarters; flexible remote work for the other 2 days
