Senior Business Central Consultant

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Consultant with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central expertise to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Chartered Accountant who combines strong finance knowledge with a strong interest in technology and business systems. You’ll work closely with clients to understand how their businesses operate, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate their requirements into effective Business Central solutions.

You’ll play a key role in supporting ERP implementations, optimising financial and operational processes, and helping clients get maximum value from their Business Central investment.

What you’ll be doing

• Support and, where appropriate, lead aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
• Work directly with clients to understand their business processes, requirements and challenges.
• Translate business and finance requirements into practical, efficient ERP solutions.
• Provide guidance across Business Central modules, with particular focus on UK construction industry processes and requirements.
• Engage confidently with stakeholders to gather information, understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with Business Central configuration, system testing and data migration activities.
• Provide 2nd line support following go-live, helping clients resolve issues and maximise system performance.
• Develop and deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions for clients and internal teams.
• Produce reports and support data analysis to help clients make informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients and senior stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and growth plans.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high standard of client service.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our ERP implementation methodologies and capabilities.

You’ll be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys understanding how businesses work and using technology to make them more efficient.

Essential:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, either as an end user or within a systems implementation environment.
• Proven experience with Business Central ERP implementations.
• Strong understanding of finance and business processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and practical solutions.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for learning and developing your ERP expertise.

Desirable:

• Experience working within the UK construction industry.
• Experience with Jet Reports.
• Experience with Power BI or other data analysis and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Previous experience presenting solutions or project updates to senior management.
