Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer Salary: £38,000 £45,000 per annum Location: Dungannon, Co. Tyrone Our client, a well-established and growing engineering company specialising in the water and wastewater sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry-leading business, working on a diverse range of projects and gaining involvement throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial specification and design through to installation and commissioning. The Role As Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs for a variety of power, water and wastewater projects, ensuring all designs meet client specifications, industry standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Designing electrical systems and developing overall system architecture. Specifying electrical equipment, including motors, MCCs, instrumentation and PLCs. Producing electrical schematic diagrams, installation drawings and associated schedules. Carrying out cable calculations in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Delivering electrical designs for power, water and wastewater projects. Liaising and coordinating with clients, suppliers and internal project stakeholders. Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial design through to commissioning. Ensuring compliance with company ISO quality and environmental procedures, alongside all relevant health and safety requirements. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or similar electrical engineering role. Experience producing electrical schematics, installation drawings and technical documentation. Knowledge of electrical equipment, including motors, MCCs, instrumentation and PLC systems. Understanding of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and cable calculations. Experience within the water, wastewater, power or wider industrial engineering sectors would be advantageous. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple projects. What's on Offer? Competitive salary of £38,000 £45,000, depending on experience.
